{"id":997,"date":"2011-08-23T13:35:31","date_gmt":"2011-08-23T17:35:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.datamyne.com\/blog\/?p=997"},"modified":"2022-05-04T15:25:10","modified_gmt":"2022-05-04T19:25:10","slug":"mexico-tweets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.datamyne.com\/knowledge-center\/markets\/mexico-tweets\/","title":{"rendered":"Mexico Tweets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ambassador to the US Arturo Sarukhan plugs benefits of NAFTA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Over the next few days, Ambassador Sarukhan promises to deliver \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/Arturo_Sarukhan\">via twitter<\/a> \u2013 powerful examples of how trade with Mexico benefits the US economy and helps create US jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the examples he\u2019s provided so far:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mexico is the top export market for California, with 14.7% of the state\u2019s exports being purchased by Mexico.<\/li>\n<li>Over $150 billion in US exports to Mexico contribute to generating approximately $300 billion in US GDP.<\/li>\n<li>US exports to Mexico grew 293% in the last decade, bolstering trade, \u00a0investment and job creation in the US.<\/li>\n<li>For each dollar China buys from the US, NAFTA partners Mexico &amp; Canada buy $8.00; Mexico buys more US exports than China and Japan combined.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We\u2019ll be following the ambassador\u2019s tweets.
